Zuke’s was created over 20 years ago on a trail. As the founder, Patrick, sought to fuel his adventure, he began to think of ways to fuel his pup’s (Zuke) adventure. Good man, Patrick. 21 years later, Zuke’s carries treats for training, keeping them healthy, keeping them going on the trail, rewarding them after a big adventure, and just plain loving on them.
We had the opportunity to try a couple different products from these guys and if Sauvie had his way, he’d devour them all in one sitting. Although our canine intern can’t verbalize his favorite, we assumed from the amount of drool that came pouring out, the Lil’ Links are his favorite. This tasty treat is filled with meat, whole food, and healthy herbs like rosemary and turmeric. The Hip Action is a favorite among his human adventurer. These little squares have 300mg glucosamine and 50mg chondroitin in every morsal, super important for dogs that are prone to hip problems. Sauvie gets one of these every day. Some of our other favorite treats are Super Greens and Mini Natruals, the ultimate training treats, and the Power Bones. The Power Bone is essentially a pup’s version of a Power Bar (but way healthier), and these treats accompanied us during Sauvie’s first summit up Mount Eddy.
Just like there’s crap food for us as humans to consume- there’s even crappier food for dogs. And although it can be tempting to buy our dogs the cheapest stuff out there, food with certain ingredients can significantly affect our dogs’ health, wellbeing, and longevity of life…especially if they’re athletes. What we feed them now could potentially decrease what we spend on our pups’ health down the line. Zuke’s fully gets behind this notion and makes treats to keep you pooch adventuring with you for as long as possible.
